Mogwai confirm new soundtrack

From http://www.clashmusic.com/news/antony-crook-mogwai-project:

Antony Crook / MogwaiProject - Film score confirmed

Mogwai are set to unveil a brand new collaboration with visual artist Antony Crook.

Mogwai have always had a deeply visual element to their music. The absence of lyrics just seems to trigger something in the imagination, with their output being used as an inspiration for frequent arts projects.

Now Antony Crook has teamed up with the band for a new collaboration. 'Mogwai Japan: Knock For Knock' is a new selection of photos taken by Crook when travelling with the band during a Japanese tour.

The pair have a close relationship, with the photographer having taken the shot which adorns the band's 2011 album 'Hardcore Will Never Die, But You Will'. Showcased in KK Outlet throughout April, the images closely match Mogwai's studio output with the two sharing a similar sense of quiet intensity.

Opening with a private viewing at KK Outlet on April 5th, there will then be a private event at Hoxton Bar & Grill in which the audience can see Antony Crook chat with Mogwai lynchpin Stuart Braithwaite.

Discussing their project, the pair will then present 'Knock For Knock' a new film shot in Japan which features a Mogwai soundtrack.

As a special bonus, the event will also witness the unveiling of an exclusive collaborative feature film project with world record-breaking cyclist James Bowthorpe. Featuring an original soundtrack from Mogwai, the project marks the band's first score since their acclaimed work on 'Zidane'.

Tickets are limited to 2 per person - grab them HERE:

A reminder, if one is needed, that Antony Crook shot the stunning cycling footage used to accompany 'How To Be A Werewolf' at Mogwai shows over the last year.

Update - from Mogwai's Facebook page:

Event in London next month on April 5th to open a new exhibition of photographs by Antony Crook of Mogwai in Japan last year. There will also be the premiere of a new short film by Antony with Mogwai's music, discussion with Antony and Stuart and a dj set by Stuart. The event is free. Please come along.

Photographer Antony Crook and Stuart Braithwaite of Scottish band Mogwai present their collaborative films to date and unveil an exciting new feature length film project.

After the opening event of Crook's photography work at KK Outlet, we will host an exclusive screening event at Hoxton Bar & Grill.

Here the audience will have the opportunity to see Crook in conversation with Stuart Braithwaite of Mogwai, as they talk about their collaborations and present for the first time Knock for Knock, a film made with RSA Films and Rapha, featuring a staggering Mogwai score.

Knock for Knock follows a man played by boxer Nao Tsuchiyama, cycling through downtown Tokyo. Through his narration, a tale unfolds—a beautiful follow up to Crook’s 30 Century Man, Crooks first film with Mogwai.

Also at this event, Crook and Braithwaite will unveil an exclusive collaborative feature film project with world record-breaking cyclist James Bowthorpe.
